The Health Score
fleatiger is designed to help you every day to keep your best friend healthy. The Health Score provides you with a quick and easy reference of your dog’s wellbeing.
We consider three factors that determine the overall Health Score:
Weight
It would be great if you could measure your dog’s height and determine the weight that is just perfect, like a BMI for humans.
Unfortunately, for dogs it does not work in the same way: Dogs come in many different sizes, shapes, and builds. And while purebred dogs might require an ideal weight for dog shows, for the millions of mixed breed dogs, weight calculators and charts are not very helpful.
fleatiger uses the guidelines per breed as published by the American Kennel Club (ACK) and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) to determine a range of ideal weight for your dog (if you have entered all information in your dog’s profile).
Deviation from the ideal weight will lead to a reduction in your dog’s Health Score on the fleatiger app.
Energy and
Calories
fleatiger calculates your dog’s daily energy consumption based on weight and activities.
We combine your dog’s Resting Energy Requirements (RER) – the rate at which your dog burns calories at rest (including breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat) – and activity data to estimate your calories burned during activities (ACAL).
RER is determined by your dog’s weight and ACAL by the active minutes and activity level (e.g. running burns more calories than walking). Together, this determines the Total Calory Requirements (TCR).
Based on your dog’s calorific expenditure (TCR), fleatiger provides suggestions for a balanced diet. You can exchange one food category for another, but the total calory intake should not be bigger than the calories consumed to stay healthy.
Activities and
Active Time
An active dog is a healthy and happy dog. Record your dog’s activities, go for walks, play with your dog, explore and be active – the more active your dog, the higher the Health Score.
Social
Interactions
Dogs are social animals, they like to meet and play with other dogs. Research shows that interactions with other dogs (and humans) contribute to their wellbeing.
Every interaction and meeting with friends will give a higher Health Score.

You can create multiple profiles on fleatiger. And you can even view and compare activities, scores or metrics of the entire family.
Yes! Any dog can be a fleatiger. For wearing a fleaTag (which weighs about 60 grams / 2.1 onces) your dog should be at least 2 kg / 4.4 pounds in weight.
A fleaTag is a small device that you can use with the fleatiger App to automatically keep track of your dog’s activities (no more manual entries). The fleaTag can be clipped onto your dog’s neck collar, body harness or walking leash.
The fleaTag is a movement sensor, GPS and location tracking device, that can record activities and location in real time. It communicates with Bluetooth and an integrated SIM card so you alway know where your dog is.
No. You can use fleatiger without a fleaTag. All the fun is available for you without any additional device. However, if you want to get the best out of fleatiger, the fleaTag is for you. Follow your dog’s activities, track the whereabouts of your dog, find your dog, track where your dog’s been roaming around.
Battery live depends on the usage. In standby mode, the battery can last several days. In active use (logging movement constantly), the battery lasts 24 hours. But if you continuously track online location in real-time the battery could be exhausted quicker.
That depends on your needs. Your dog can wear the fleaTag all the time if you wish. However, the fleaTag is designed to use when your dog is active – running free, going for a walk or doing a specific activity. Of course, if you are worried that your dog runs away, let the fleaTag help you find your dog by its real-time location tracking.
The fleaTag has sensors installed, that record location with accuracy of <10m (33ft). However, accuracy depends on receiving GPS signals, which can be obstructed indoors, by buildings or in thick vegetation.
The fleaTag has a IP67 waterproof level. This means complete protection against dust over extended time and against short periods (up to 30 minutes) of immersion in water up to 1m (3.3ft).
